It was a beautiful sunny afternoon as 32 fabulous ladies bounced onto our courts for Week 2 of our teams tennis – rackets ready, spirits high and just a tiny hint of competitiveness in the air (because let’s be honest… is it ever really just friendly?!).
The courts were full of lively rallies, great energy and plenty of laughter, creating a buzz around the club. Annemarie’s Elegant Aces and Carole’s Cove Crushers got things off to a strong start, playing out an exciting draw. Next up, Ellen’s Baseline Beauties faced Oilbhe’s Court Queens, with the Queens ultimately taking the points.
But don’t be fooled – this leaderboard is tighter than a freshly strung racket! Just one point separates first and second, while third and fourth are neck and neck. It’s all still to play for, and the excitement is building! While the tennis is always taken seriously, the chats and treats afterwards remain just as important and just as enjoyable! Thanks to Sarah-Beth, Rog, Ann, Ellen & Annemarie for their fab treats too.
We’re now looking ahead to our final week, with plenty still at stake and lots to smile about. A massive thank you once again to Sarah Beth Casey for her incredible help, support, and eagle-eyed attention to detail – you’re a star!
