saw BOTH Sandycove teams SLAY!

The tennis at this level
means that no team is a shoe-in
the first team to prove their worth
was led by Steve McGoohan

Class 4, over 35s
these young bucks barely looked legit
as they played like twenty-somethings!
fast, and fierce and fit

Promotion already in hand
this team was flying high
And now on to semi finals
we’re so proud of all you guys.

Next up our ladies first team
Were seeking the promotion
And to watch them go about this task
Was poetry in motion

Not a sign of nerves
(except for onlookers Jenny and Mandy)
This team bravely marched on court
with their fearless leader Sandie

Portmarnock did their best
But their efforts all in vain
In 2 short sets the visitors
were quite convincingly slain.
