The 1st team were edged out 2-1 away to Blackrock 1sts with all three games being extremely tight. Reon Ferreira and Will Fitzgerald had a super win at No.3 doubles after saving match points in the second set and winning 6-2 in the third set. Oisin O’Hanlon and Ivan Brady played No.2 doubles and also saved match points in the second set before losing out in the third set while Rob Neiland and Richie Morris lost 7-5 7-5 at No.1 doubles.

The 2nds lost 3-0 away to Carrickmines 1sts, who play in Class 1 in Summer League. Many thanks to Paul Ivory for subbing in for Ivan Brady, who had subbed up for the 1sts to replace the injured Steve Gill.

Our 3rd team were away to De Vesci 1sts and lost 2-1 with Paul Fitzgerald and Ken Browne coming back from a set down to win 6-2 in the third set.

The 4ths lost 2-1 to Leopardstown 2nds with Frank McCooey and Dave Hanley picking up the point. Many thanks to Mark Cunningham who returned from injury to sub in.

Our 5ths continued their strong performance with a 2-1 win against Greystones 4ths and lead their group. Many thanks to Tim Eaton and Tom O’Higgins who both subbed in to play at No 1 and No 2 doubles with Colin Wardlaw and John F Burke respectively and they both won their games. The 5ths now have 7 points and are 2 points clear at the top of the table.

The 6ths had their third straight 2-1 win and are also in contention for the play-offs. This week they were playing Bective 1sts. Pat Leamy and Dermot Bennett won in straight sets at No.2 doubles while Larry Staines and Dermot Ennis won 6-2 in the third set at No.3 doubles. They have a big game next week away to Fitzwilliam.

Our 7th team lost 3-0 against Monkstown 5ths. Many thanks to Declan Hynes and Denis O’Reilly for subbing.
