Our Men’s 5th team played their quarter-final play-off match last weekend away to Carrickmines 4ths. Unfortunately the team lost out. Alan Warren was unlucky to have a re-occurrence of a back injury and was forced to retire at No. 2 doubles with his partner John F Burke. Colin Wardlaw and Sean Cronin were edged out in a tight match at No.1 doubles losing the second set in a tie-break. Cormac Hurley and Shane Gill were into a third set at No.3 doubles when play was stopped. Great effort by the team getting to the quarters and many thanks to everyone who came to the game to support them.
