Just a quick reminder that our absolutely brilliant First Team will play their Winter League semi-final against Glasnevin 1 AWAY this Sunday at 2pm. The team is: Áine Leonard and Orla Patton, Sandie O’Callaghan and Sarah Emerson, and Beccy Breech and Joanna van Remoortere. This will be a tough battle for a Class 1 spot next year, so there will be top-class tennis on display. We have a fair few supporters already heading out to cheer them on, and any other rowdy Sandycove cheerleaders who make the pilgrimage are certain to be rewarded with some good old-fashioned sporting drama. The very best of luck to all the team, who have played amazing tennis to get this far. Only one more match, ladies, you can do it!

Anyone who wants to play summer league but hasn’t yet signed up in the club or by email to me at STCladycaptain@gmail.com, please can I ask you to do so asap. We will be forming ladders/round robins next week and are hoping to get playing straight away to prepare for a good league campaign. I really appreciate everyone getting on board with this initiative, it will be good fun and make for lots of competitive tennis.

A final reminder that on Friday April 5th, we are co-hosting a morning of social tennis with Glenageary ladies. Games will take place in Sandycove and Glenageary from 9.30-12, followed by sandwiches and cakes in Glenageary. All standards will be playing, so please, everyone put your names down and we can make it a fun morning of tennis and local rivalry. We already have a good uptake, so if anyone else would like to play, get your skates on! The sheet is up on the board, or email me at STCladycaptain@gmail.com to be included, it promises to be a great day.
