Home advantage definitely played a part in the 4 wins at home on Sunday 11th.
Class 3 won quickly against Westwood Clontarf 1 all in 2 sets. Our team played aggressively and with purpose.
Class 2 ladies won 2-1 over Monkstown 1, Laura Noble and Ruth Dillon had a great 3 setter to finally win 6/1 in the 3rd set. This match went on over 21/2 hours so poor Amy and Fleur had a long wait to play Trinity.
The class 5 played in the wind, sleet and snow and of course Amy played the game in her in her t-shirt. But it must have made a difference as they won in 3 sets against two very good young players. Their fellow class 5 team mates wrapped up their matches in 30 minutes. Amy and Fleur did not finish until 6.15.
Our other Class 5 team had tough matches against Templeogue 9 but they all won again. Sadly our 3 away teams had a tough time all losing. But never say never, this week will be better for everyone as you will be wearing your performance jackets. Thanks again to all ladies and the subs giving up their Sunday afternoons to play for Sandycove. It is really appreciated.
