The U18 events in the Grade 2 Tramore Open turned out to be a bonanza for Sandycove!

Pride of place goes to Will Fitzgerald, who won the Under 18 singles, in a draw that included numerous top ranked players from all over Munster and Dublin! Will played tennis of the very highest level throughout, beating a Munster Junior Interprovincial player from Cork in the final, 6-3 6-3. Will also reached the semis of the U16 doubles with his partner from Waterford. Big congrats to Will!

Liam Reynolds and Oisin O’Hanlon reached the semis of the singles, and then teamed up to win the U18 doubles in a third set tie break. This win, together with their recent win in Waterford and reaching the final of Carrickmines, now lifts them up to no 7 and 8 in the Irish U18 doubles rankings.

This all augurs well for future Winter and Summer league campaigns!
