Hi Everyone,
The summer is in full swing, and the Tennis Club is buzzing.
I was away for a few quiet days last week which I really enjoyed. I’m back and when I came down to play last night the Club was a hive of activity – people playing their regular games, having a drink and catching up on the balcony and of course all sorts of combinations getting in some practice for the Championships. As John F noted “the excitement is building”!
Well, before we start a great few weeks of super Tennis and fun which our Captains, Aileen, Mandy, John F and Paul have organised I thought we could have a quick look back to the finals of our Handicap Competition – they were great fun.
Joe Cunningham our brilliant photographer was away for this event, so he entrusted John F to take some award worthy photos and Joe has turned them into the superb show attached in the link below.
So, if you need some inspiration for the next two weeks or just want to reminisce, sit down, visualise and watch the attached video, you might even see yourself!
The club looks great, and we have just installed new nets so everything is set for high level competition. It would be good too if we all remember that we should wear proper tennis attire while playing.
Again, your whole committee, Tim, Alan, Bill, Ruth, Anita, Colin, your Captains and I are really looking forward to seeing you around the Club for what promises to be a great two weeks of fun, friendship and superb tennis.
Kindest regards
Barry Totterdell
President
