Dear Member,

After a fantastic Handicaps we now move onto the eagerly anticipated 2021 Club Championships. Entries are now open on the TI website at Sandycove Senior Championships 2021
If there are any issues with entries please email the captains at Instructions for registering on TI are below.

It will be a packed programme over the two weeks and when entering please, where possible, add your availability as this will greatly assist with the match scheduling. We are expecting a large number of entries and therefore it must be noted that entrants should largely be available in the evenings, particularly across the second week. A maximum of three events can be entered. For the 8UP doubles competitions the most recent DLTC league (Winter 2020) will be used as a reference. The combined league classes of both players must be equal to or greater than 8, e.g a player in Class 3 can play with anyone who has played Class 5 or above. In the case of a new member or a player who has not competed in the last DLTC league, the Championship Tournament Committee will decide on the appropriate Class.

The final date for entries is Wed 4th August at 6pm and the Championships will run from Sun 15th August to the finals day on Sat 28th Aug.

Best of luck to everyone and we look forward to seeing you on court and on the balcony!

The Captains.

TI Instructions –

Create a Tennis Ireland tournament Profile (this is different to a DLTC profile). Simply log onto the website Tennis Ireland Tournament Software and create (bottom left of the home page) your own unique profile and log in password. Do remember to enter ‘Gender’. Once registered you will receive a confirmation email together with your PIN number.

Step 2

Once registered and logged in, go to the ‘Tournaments Tab’ and enter Sandycove Senior Championships in the Search bar or directly to Sandycove Senior Championships
This will bring you to the Tournament online entry page where you enter the events that you wish to play in (For the 2021 Championships a Maximum 3 events per person are allowed) and in the case of doubles your partners name and PIN number. Should you not have a doubles partner the software will allow you request one. For those entering the Lucky DIP mixed doubles event enter your own details only, you will be allocated a partner in the draw.

Step 3

Once step one and two are completed you will see at the bottom of the online entry page a facility to let the Tournament organisers know if there are dates/times where you are unavailable. All those entering the Championships should in principle be available for the tournament dates so as to best assist the Club in planning and executing a great event.
