Cabaret Sauvignon

What a great night. Des Warren does it again. We had a wonderful evening last week in the Club.

Des put together a great combo of Wine tasting and music that kept us busy and entertained all evening.

He kicked off with Philip Maguire playing some wonderful tunes on the piano and regaling us with stories of playing in the Ritz in Boston.

This was followed by the expert wine connoisseur Johnny Pierce introducing us to some delightful white wines accompanied by matching foods.

Next up were Gerry and Joan who sing beautifully together and left us all wishing we could sing with our spouses like they did. Mesmerising…

Johnny then introduced us to three great red wines which really appealed to everyone and again told us some great interesting facts about each and why they complemented the accompanying food. (which ranged from Terrine to Salmon to Roast Lamb and lots more !)

The evening was topped off by the fantastic Pat Watt who had everyone gently singing Guiding Light and opening so many hearts and souls.

We can only look forward to the next event hosted by Des and his team. Well done Des.
