We are hosting a drop-in evening to support Garda vetting applications on Wednesday, 4th March, anytime between 7-8:30PM.
Garda Vetting is mandatory for our coaches, volunteers, and those working with children.
This will be an in-person session with our Club Children’s Officer (CCO) and Tennis Administrator who will be present to explain the process, review and validate your vetting documentation for new applications and renewals to ensure compliance.
Key Information for Garda Vetting Drop-in Evening:
- Purpose: To verify identity for Tennis & Squash Club garda vetting.
- What to Prepare at home:
- Applicants can download and complete the appropriate National Vetting Bureau (NVB) forms (Over 18/16-17 years) in advance. Available on the Tennis Ireland website Tennis Ireland Garda Vetting .
- What to Bring:
- Printed and completed NVB1 Vetting Invitation Form (Over 18/16-17 Under 18) (Please select the correct club role, from Tennis Ireland grid list of options)
- 1 valid, original photographic ID (e.g., Passport or Driver’s License).
- 1 Proof of address (e.g., utility bill or bank statement within the last 6 months).
(If 16-17 years: a written statement by a school principal confirming attendance is accepted as the proof of address, dated within 6 months.)
- Process: The CCO/TA will review, validate and photocopy vetting application documents. All applications that have been validated on the evening will be submitted by the club to the Tennis Ireland.
- Requirement: Garda vetting must be renewed every 3 years.
