WELCOME TO SANDYCOVE

Founded in 1886, Sandycove Lawn Tennis Club has been a proud part of the community for over a century. Our story began on the evening of February 15th, 1886, at a general meeting held at 6 Elton Park, Sandycove. Since then, the club has grown steadily, and in the 1970s, we expanded to include a thriving squash section.

We’re a friendly, inclusive club that celebrates both the competitive and social aspects of tennis and squash. Our members enjoy excellent facilities, expert coaching, and a vibrant club atmosphere.

Facilities include:

6 all-weather tennis courts
4 mini-tennis courts
2 squash courts
Table tennis
A fully equipped bar and lounge area
A ball machine for solo practice

Senior Tennis:
We field men’s and ladies’ teams from Class 2 to Class 7, with 6 to 7 teams regularly competing in the Summer Leagues. Our players also participate in a wide range of other competitions, including the Floodlight League, Winter League, Senior League, Ladies Charity League, and the Easter Cup. We also run active internal leagues and ladder competitions throughout the year.

Junior Tennis:
Our junior section is full of energy, with regular coaching, seasonal tennis camps, and competitive opportunities in leagues such as Stars & Stripes, the Leinster League, and the DLTC League.

Squash:
Our squash teams compete in the Leinster Squash Leagues, and our internal squash league is a member favourite, offering great competition in a friendly setting.
