Class 1
The holders, Sandycove, travelled to Clontarf on Monday, to try and defend their title from last year but were well beaten on the day by a very strong home team who ran out deserving winners .
Sandycove picked up a runners up pennant to reward their great efforts in reaching the final again .
Team in the final was Ken Browne ( captain ), Dave Murphy , Pat Giles & Ken Peare- Tim Eaton played in some of the earlier rounds before suffering an injury .
Class 2
Class 2 team travelled to Naas on Monday to contest the grand final of the Dublin & District Advanced Masters.
Each team consisted of 2 pairings giving rise to 4 matches. While all matches were evenly contested, the more experienced host team emerged victorious due to a lower level of unforced errors. Sandycove was represented by Simon Hugh Jones, Tony Collison, Joe Cunningham & David Widger.
